Mean was born in 1988 and is a proud Cebuana.
At an early age, she started working with colored pens and oil pastels due to her fascination with anime characters, but this halted for a while due to other priorities. In 2014, she tried doing sketches again using charcoal pencils, this time of human portraits which led to her first commission.
The following year, she was invited to display her artworks for Music and Arts night with local singer Kitchie Nadal. This was her first exhibit. She has then on been invited to exhibit in other events with other local visual artists.
Practice was her greatest key to improve her artisanship since she never had any formal education in the arts. Charcoal Drawing is her main medium; however, she experiments with different art techniques and mediums including oil paints, ballpoint pens, Coffee, and soft pastels to achieve expansions to her expertise.
